Running Warehouse has recently posted video previews of a bunch of new shoes, including the Saucony Kinvara 6, Saucony Nomad TR, Nike Wildhorse 3, and Nike Terra Kiger 3. Looks like the Wildhorse is indeed moving to 8mm drop and will become the slightly beefier of the two Nike trail shoes – makes sense to differentiate them a bit more so I like this move. I’ve embedded videos for the four shoes below, and you can find the rest on their YouTube page (hat tip to David Henry for alerting me to the Wildhorse and Kiger videos).

Curious how the Saucony Nomad is supposed to stack up compared to my trail shoe of choice, the Saucony Peregrine. It is hard to tell from the picture how flexible the sole will be, but it looks like it might be “slab like” and hard to flex. Any insight?
Joel, it is siped in the forefoot so it should actually flex quite well I would imagine; probably quite a bit more flexible than the Peregrine.
I think so that!
Hi Peter,
do you think the nomad will be in some sort similar to the Kinvara trail?
Hi Gian…I think that is essentially the idea as I believe it is based on the Kinvara platform with similar stack heights and last (although I’ve read it is to be a bit wider than the Kinvara in the forefoot). The obvious difference being relatively full rubber outsole. -David
