Mizuno EVO Cursoris Zero Drop Shoe Photos

A few days ago I posted a preview video of Mizuno’s forthcoming EVO Cursoris zero drop running shoe. In my brief commentary on the video I wondered whether there was any rubber under the heel since it was hard to tell from the video. Seth Hasty from Mizuno was kind enough to send along a few additional pictures of the Cursoris, and it does indeed look like there is rubber under the heel, its just that it’s the same color as the surrounding midsole material.

I am curious about the black region of the sole under the medial forefoot – would be a good place for some firmer foam to resist medial caving of the sole at toe-off.

Here are the photos:

Any word on colorways besides Halloween-chic? Love that outsole!

  2. Surfing Vol says:

Nice looking shoe, but is that dual density foam under the medial midfoot area? If so, what is the purpose?
I also note that the rounded heel reminds me of Skora’s heels.

Looks like a great shoe. I just tried the NB Minimus Zero and hate it! Even the 2E is not wide enough. So far the Merrell Road Glove seems to work best for me but this Mizuno looks like it might be a winner.

I just received a package from Mizuno this morning, and I’m Really looking forward to putting the Cursoris through the paces. I pulled the insole out because it made the shoe entirely too rigid.

    More to come soon…
