Well, looks like the cat is officially out of the bag – I’d like to extend a big congratulations to friend and fellow running blogger Steve Magness on his new job as assistant coach to Alberto Salazar out at the Nike Facility in Beaverton, Oregon! As assistant coach of the Oregon Track Club, Steve will be helping to train the likes of Adam and Kara Goucher, Galen Rupp, and Alan Webb – not a bad crop of runners if you ask me. Steve has been a consistent source of excellent information on the science of running via his work writing the Science of Running blog, and I credit him with providing me with the information and cues I used when I worked on changing my own running form this past summer. Great guy, and huge congrats!
Below is a video from Flotrack featuring an interview with Steve about his new gig:
So pumped for Steve! That’s such a great learning opportunity to work so closely with Salazar and coach athletes at that level. Way to go Steve, congrats.
I have just found this blog and really like it! I am already following it!!
Regards from Brazil,
Alessandro
