Thought Runblogger readers might be interested in this – Sneaker Report just posted a roundup of the shoes worn by the top 100 runners at the 2014 New York City Marathon. Lots of adidas Adios Boost 2 (my adios Boost 2 review here) and Nike Zoom Streaks (various versions).
In a related article, Let’s Run discusses the top shoes at NYC, as well as some customizations made for elites. Interesting stuff for shoe geeks!
one interesting thing about this is that I don’t know what to conclude from it. because it could be either which shoes is preferred by the top pro marathoners or which brand is throwing more money/sponsorship/support at it.
The zoom streak I feel has always been a really popular shoe for road running. Nike has always done a great job with creating a variety of shoes for marathoners that are light weight and feel good.
My personal opinion is that Nike makes the best racers period because they have so many options to choose from and they have lead the way on many different designs.
