As I reported last week here on Runblogger, I wore the Saucony Kinvara during my BQ race at the Smuttynose Rockfest Marathon. A few people have asked for more detail on how the shoe performed during the race, so I arranged a post by me and a few friends over on the dailymile Community Blog to report our individual impressions on how the Kinvara fared as a marathon shoe. Needless to say, despite my concerns about the somewhat soft midsole of the Kinvara, it performed marvelously during the race. For more, I encourage you to check out our review if you are in any way considering purchasing the Kinvara: http://www.dailymile.com/blog/running/review-of-the-saucony-kinvara-as-a-marathon-shoe.

Pete – Glad you had a great run in the Kinvara’s! FYI, in running Chicago on Sunday I noticed a lot of other runners also running in them (along with Newton’s, which I was wearing), so hopefully with their success we’ll see more minimal heel-to-toe drop shoes introduced.
Awesome! Doing my best to support shoes that are pushing the envelope toward
greater minimalism!
Pete
Hi,
Indeed, this is very good posting. I usually used my saucony running shoes during my race and I planned to buy saucony kinvara shoes for next marathon.
