I’ve made no secret of the fact that the Brooks Launch is one of my favorite running shoes (disclaimer – I am a member of BrooksID). They carried me to a PR in the Disney Marathon (maybe just coincidence, but I like to think they played a part!), and my first and only pair so far has several hundred miles on them and they’re still in my regular rotation. One of my favorite things about the Launch is the fiery red/orange color scheme (see picture in right sidebar), but like all good things, it looks like this may be coming to an end. Brooks has released a new Black/Nightlife color scheme for the men’s Launch (same shoe, just different colors), and it appears the red/orange is being discontinued (please correct me if I’m wrong!):

In other Brooks shoe color news (writing this sentence really cements the fact that I have a shoe problem), they have announced two new color schemes for the Brooks Green Silence that are due to arrive in August. I’ve been using the Green Silence lately for my shorter races, and just ran a 19:17 5K in them last week – worked out great as a racing flat (you can read my full Green Silence review here)! Here are the pictures (I like the black-green combo personally – this would be a perfect shoe for customization of colors like Nike does with NIKEiD – hint, hint!):

Also, love the 10% off at runningwarehouse, although it is really not helping in my shoe addiction issue, LOL. I have never really been “into” shoes before becoming a runner, now I feel like a typical woman, totally obsessed with shoes.
Those black/silver Brooks Launches are smoking hot! Why can’t the women’s version be as neat as the men’s?
