On January 10, I ran the 2010 Walt Disney World Marathon. I went into this race with no expectations other than to have a good time and do my best, and it turned into one of the most amazing running experiences I have ever had – easily the most enjoyable of the five marathons I have run. Whether you’re a fan of Disney or not, this is truly an amazing event, and one that I would highly recommend to anyone who might be considering a marathon. And yes, you should consider running a marathon. You can do it, and it will change you forever (read this post for more on why you should run a marathon).
I’ll be putting up a series of posts about this race in the coming days, but I wanted to start with a video that captures the spirit of this great race. Enjoy!

Runblogger Runcast #6 is a compilation of video clips from the 2010 Disney Marathon. Very little talking on my part – the video largely speaks for itself. This was a truly amazing experience – if you’ve ever thought about running Disney, do it. Courtesy of https://runblogger.com.

Brooks Running – The 2010 Disney Marathon was my first as a Brooks ID sponsored runner. A big “thank you” to Brooks Running for believing in me and allowing me to be a part of this great program. I was clad from head-to-toe in Brooks gear at Disney, and my Brooks Launch shoes carried me to an 8:00 PR with minimal blistering (first time ever in a marathon). Amazing!
Audiofuel – “Music composed specifically for running with a beat to exactly match and drive your stride whatever your pace.” The first audio clip in this video comes from the end of the song “Adrenaline Junkie (DJ Mix).”
The Postal Service – The second song, “Such Great Heights”, can be downloaded from The Postal Service’s web page at Sub Pop Records.
