Brooks Running recently announced the launch of Brooks DNA, “an innovative, first-of-its-kind cushioning system that adapts to the unique needs of each runner.” The intention of this post is not so much to highlight the details of this new technology, but rather to post a couple of cool commercials that Brooks has released regarding DNA. Before I do that, here’s a quick quote from Brooks about what DNA is:
“Available now in the new Brooks Glycerin® 8, Brooks DNA automatically and physically adapts with each foot strike to the ever-changing amount of force placed on the foot during the run. The result is the perfect balance of cushioning and stability in response to the varying biomechanics, weight, pace, gait, and environment of each and every runner worldwide.“
Here are the commercials – enjoy!:
Love the Lost look and the 70’s retro feel of 1st vid
Thanks Brooks
The sales person at run on recommended the kids kids brooks adrenaline. Now my son says his feet are hurting. She said he was a pronator and a stability shoe would correct his running. Which I never said was an issue. What do you recommend for as new runner. Who plays soccer, and basketball.
The whole pronation bit at shoe stores is irresponsible in my opinion, science has show that it’s not an effective way to assign shoes. My kids are in Altra Instinct Jr. and Merrell Mix Master Jam. Nike Free are also flexible and less controlling.
Hey Peter, have you tested https://www.on-running.com/en-us
i am big nike free 3.0 fan but looking for alternative barefoot fell but with more cushion, any suggestion?
thanks

Wasn’t crazy about On in general, don’t much feel the benefit of the sole pods unless you are a heel striker. The On The Cloud was decent, has a racing flat like feel. Have you tried the Free 4.0 or 5.0, both are great. Also, the Skechers GoRun might be worth a look.
