1. Yeah, don’t think the thumb will work on a screen, I usually just flip up the mitt and use a finger, but requires tapping in my code.

2. Probably sub-10, don’t think I ran any when it was sub 0 this year. They aren’t insulated much, pretty thin material, but fine for everything I have thrown at them.

3. Liners might get tight around the fingers where they are cut off, so that could be an issue. Have not tried it myself though.

Not sure why…

Like you, Pete, I also have 7-8 pairs of gloves and mittens that I rotate through the Minnesota winters. This is partly out of necessity and my procrastinating doing laundry, but also out of an interest for something better. Based on your review, these Gore Gloves may potentially help me thin out my rotation.

Could you help me be answering a few questions about them?

1. It appears that the fabric on the thumbs won’t work with touchscreen devices. Is that correct? For those who have iOS devices with fingerprint sensors, we can set it up to work with the other fingers, but having thumbs to tap seems more effective for many apps.

2. What was the coldest temperatures you wore these and still felt comfortable in them?

3. In extreme cold situations (sub 0F), I often wear liners inside my mittens. Do you foresee or notice any problems using thin glove liners with these?
