Yeah, all pretty close I’d say. My guess is there would even be some variation in a lab test from day to day. And I agree on the race prediction, harder to do that since it’s very difficult to predict race performance from VO2max, too many other factors involved when it comes to performance (e.g., training, muscle fiber type, lactate threshold, mental toughness, etc…).

Hi. My lab test was 54 and the Garmin when I got it said 52, but after a few runs trended up to 56. I suspect these are all within the standard of error of the device.

One odd thing about it though, the device will give you some race prediction times based on your VO2. However, these are independent of your age. I have a hunch that algorithm isn’t quite correct.
