At a bells outlet store. They felt like I had viginas on my feet so I had to buy them. I work 7 days a weak 10 hours a day. My feet feal like cement blocks when I get home and sit down its hard to get up and walk again. Very painful. I hope the GRU will help.

I like a 4 mm drop, and I wasn’t sure if I could adjust to run without an insole. After a few runs, this was not an issue. I now have over 100 miles, and truly love this shoe. It’s light and has a very cushy feel. I don’t like an overly cushy shoe, but this seems to give me a good combination of performance and comfort (I also utilize Salomon S Lab Sense Ultras).
Most amazing is the grip on the slippery and icy Michigan winter roads and trails. I look forward to utilizing this shoe for training and my upcoming ultras this spring and summer. Another benefit is that we have 2 Sketchers stores within 30 miles. Hopefully this will put to rest my ever-ending search for the perfect shoe (at least for 2015 :) )

I bought my Sketchers go run Ultra’s in Madrid in April when I did the marathon. I was at the expo looking at all the other brands and was eager to buy a pair of new kicks.
I very nearly bought some boosts but then I noticed these shoes and got them on a whim. I walked out wondering what I’d done! Convinced I’d bought myself a pair of shoes that would get me laughed at by all my running friends so I didn’t tell any of the 40 people who were with me (from my club) and hid them till I got back home to England.
I went for my first run in them on my own and fell in love with them in the first mile. They were so comfy and light but also supportive and grippy on the road. They instantly became my favourite shoes and I’ve done every kind of race in them from 5k to full marathons and smooth roads to rocky off road terrain with no problems at all.
I recommend them to all my friends and say they are the best shoes I have ever had.
Now it’s 7 months later and I’ve totally destroyed them! The soles are worn down and the upper material is threadbare but I dare not throw them out until I’ve replaced them with another pair exactly the same. In fact I might buy 2 pairs :)

They are indeed very soft and well cushioned. The only issue is that the sole may wear down quickly if walking on asphalt or concrete since there is no rubber reinforcement.

My eye got caught on these ULTRA shoes since they seem to be highly cushioned, which is what I love most when buying sport shoes, and I’m planning on getting these ones, but I have a question. I know these are basically running shoes, but I don’t really run, I do lots of different physical activities, such as fast-paced walking (several miles) and training at the gym (TRX, crossfit, zumba, aerobox, cardio, spinning, rebounding, you name it), and I LOVE when my feet are well protected and well wrapped and resting on a highly cushioned sole. These shoes seems to be perfect for my needs, but what do you think? do you think they are suitable for that kind of use?? Thanks so much for your time!!

I’ve started cutting the heel down and it’s getting better. Will report again on how it goes. What I’ve found MUCH better–and among my favorites now–is the Go Run 3. Love it. Haven’t gone more than 32 miles in it at one time yet, but will come spring. Just bought my second pair of them because they were on sale. About 200 miles on them so far and they look perfect on the bottoms. Midsoles still even, and heel counter still straight up. I’m not a scuffer, so if you are, I can’t give you an idea of how well they hold up to that kind of treatment. I’m light and land pretty softly. Also bought the Go Run Bionics and found that they were too dense for me for road use. I haven’t used them on the treadmill or on trails yet, but they’ll probably be better suited to those surfaces for me and for the way I run. Very pleasantly surprised with the toe box (tall enough and wide enough, but my forefeet don’t swim) and the uppers in all of the Skechers shoes I’ve tried and with the midsole of the Go Run 3. FWIW, I’m a slight heel striker, run most of my mileage on roads, and consider myself a neutral runner to slight pronator. I like a lot of what I’m seeing from Skechers.

Greg, I’m glad to hear you are having such success with your GRU’s.

Don’t know what it is about my run that causes them to wear so damn fast cause otherwise, I love them.

Might try another production run to see if I gete any different results.
