Kinda looks like Seahawks color too, not that I’m a fan of that team. Had a buddy in college from Hartford. Sorry to say, but I remember him laughing about the Whalers. My wife spent a year in Hartford in the mid 90s. I visited her a couple of times. Nice town. Never made it to the Mark Twain house.

I went to grad school in Athens OH, Blue Jackets started in Columbus when I was there I think. I tried to get into hockey again at that time, they had Geoff Sanderson who was one of my favorites from the Whalers. Couldn’t do it…

You’re welcome! I’m still scarred by the Whalers demise, I was a huge hockey fan as a kid, but their move turned me off big time. Trying to like the Bruins now, but it’s hard to root for the old enemy. I need therapy I think….

Honestly, I just can’t root for the Bruins. I’d sooner root for the Islanders (who aren’t *that* bad of a team, goaltending concerns apart).

If it makes you feel any better, the Blue Jackets aren’t half bad, are from my home state, and are playing in the East next year. I’m just pumped because they’re barely 2hrs away and will have to play the Pens next year, which means I’ll actually get a ticket!
