I have the mid-version of this shoe and after 4 months the sole at the toe wrap started coming loose… These shoes were only offered from Merrell for < 6 months before they've been completely scrubbed off their website.

I sent mine into Merrell for an RMA and they instructed me to pick a completely different shoe.

The construction may have been poor on these shoes, but they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

They don’t look to good, ripping on both shoes etc… Where do I upload?

I totally agree with Pete.
Adding You own images aren’t only tons of work. But mots of us are no looking for a Byes opinion which what ends up happening when you put extra effort for a single shoe/review.

Thanks Pete.
Again, of course, there is no questioning of the review itself, but “real” images reveal things that stock photos don’t, the looks, the proportions.

i feel they bring value, and I personally (cause I can only speak for myself), would be happy to see at a real photo of shoes reviewed in a review.

Obviously, you are free to agree or not to agree to my preference :-) `

I felt it is important to give this feedback from the eye of a reader, as I tend to think others might be thinking similar thoughts.

Cheers

Thanks for the comment. I generally add my own images if I feel they’ll add something constructive to the review. Because I do a lot of reviews I generally don’t put enough miles on a pair to comment on durability or issues like that that would benefit from photos, but I’ve always been very open about this and for running shoes I always say how many miles I’ve put on a shoe before I review. I used to do all of my own images for each shoe and can certainly do that, but from a practical standpoint it’s easier to grab the stock photos and I don’t know that my own photos would add much.

Allow me to add a constructive comment to your shoe reviews of the last couple of years.

You only put formal/studio generate images of shoes, this does not pass the feeling/evidance as you have really tested the shoes to extent described.

i Personally like to see real pictures of the shoes you actually wear, how they look after taken off from feet, how they look after 10s or 100s of miles of running in them.

Studio images we can see on the Merrell website :-)

Keep on

Cheers
Ran

I appreciate it Ran, now that I’ll have more time to focus on the blog maybe I can get back to doing more of my own photos. The reality is that it’s an extra step that adds time to the process that just has not been easy to come by with my crazy schedule the past few years.
