I mainly opt to leave the music at home in those conditions so that I’m more
aware of my surroundings. I find that in the neighborhoods around me I can
stay on the sidewalk for most of my runs, and where sidewalk isn’t an
option, I just stay in the shoulder and try to be extra careful.
Fortunately, I’ve never had a car incident in almost 3 years of running this
area.

Do you take any particular precautions in case a driver cannot see you or loses control of their vehicle in the snow? (I’m sure that NH drivers are used to winter conditions, but just in case?) I ask because I wanted to run outside yesterday in the snow but stayed inside on the dreadmill for safety, and it was far less enjoyable than an outdoor run would have been.
