Which road saucony is the equivalent to the peregrine?

edited April 2014 in Saucony

I've been over in the Newton camp for a few years now and over the weekend put on an old pair of Peregrines.   They really felt good and I'm thinking about putting a road saucony in my rotation.  Which road shoe is the closest to the peregrine?   From what I can tell it may be the Kinvara or the mirage?

  • The Peregrine was a trail shoe, IIRC.  I'd try the Kinvara, first.
  • Mirage, for sure.

The Kinvara has it's own trail version, the Kinvara TR. Both are softer and more flexible than the Peregrine and Mirage. The Peregrine's have been my all the time trail shoes once they came out, the Mirage's have been my all the time road shoe since they came out, and the Fastwitch are my racers. The set of three complements each other very nicely.
  • I'd say the Kinvara Trail is more equivalent to the A5/A6 than to the Kinvara. Go Mirage if you like firm soles, Kinvara if you like a softer feel.
